I was responsible for tear-off of all types of roofing materials and installation of new membranes to include: rubber, hot tar, metal, and TPO. I am proficient with power, pneumatic and hand tools required for my job such as: air compressors, air nailers, roof cutters, roof warriors, pressure washers, welders, regular hand tools, forklifts, liftbed trucks, hot tar mops & kettles, chop saws and other equipment as required. Some of my other duties required me to be knowledgeable about reading blueprints and plans and their applications, computer applications and troubleshooting of such including repair, along with the installation of hardware and software; estimating and costing of job and materials; safety standards and procedures, and OSHA regulations, roofing and building codes. This position required me to assist in the training of new employees and mentor those who were moving up the ladder to become journeymen. I received training in asbestos abatement and received certification during 2005. My qualifications include the ability to be cross-trained into the fields of applying siding, doors & windows, flooring and tiles including hardwood, hanging sheet rock and durock, installing street culverts and gas lines, foundation and framing & waterproofing; building retaining walls, concrete flooring; building decks, fences; landscaping; painting; and other carpentry as required. Other essential skills of the job were to repair and maintain the equipment and company vehicles such as daily cleaning and checking for problems and fixing them, and routine servicing and oil changes. The position also required me to be flexible and able to withstand dangerous and environmentally different work settings and varied extremes in temperature and wind conditions for long periods of time.

This position utilized my skill as a journeyman roofer for tear-off and existing roof replacement. All of the skills listed with the previous entry were required for this position to include being a Foreman and training employees new to the industry, the roofing process and how it is accomplished safely and expertly.
Rainproof Roofing, LLC 2004-2005 Supervisor – Ken Duff
My position with this company utilized my skills as a journeyman roofer with the same job requirements as the two previous companies. Rainproof Roofing is the largest roofing company in the state of Alaska and had many new and less experienced employees which I mentored in the roofing process.

I was the manager of this facility. My duties included overseeing the daily operations of the car wash managing staff, organizing and setting schedules. I also performed detailing, maintained and fixed equipment as appropriate, filled in on all jobs when necessary to include: cashier, dryer, and equipment operator, opened, closed and maintained supplies and ordered as needed.
Snowball Express 1995-1996 Supervisor - Tom Beauvais
In this position I was supervisor for the night shift crew performing snow removal for a variety of clientele. The client base included major Anchorage malls, large business complexes, and public areas with mailboxes and streets/alleyways. The company also deposited salt on roadways and sidewalks. I was responsible for equipment maintenance,
repair if applicable and direction of crew members and duties. I became proficient with large snow removal equipment and loaders, also with hand tools and shovels. This job required being out in inclement weather and all weather conditions and required skill in maneuvering heavy road equipment with extreme safety and caution.
Round Table Pizza 1994-1995 Supervisor – Bruce Smith
At this job I was the prep cook. I prepared all the toppings and add-ons for the pizzas and salads, prepared the pizzas fresh, baked them and delivered them to the customers. Other duties were cashier and trainer of new employees. I also cleaned and maintained equipment to restaurant standards.

I was requested and came to this job along with the manager of Round Table Pizza. I performed the same tasks as the previous job with the inclusion of performing as a costumed character (Chuck E. Cheese). During business I would go out through the crowd and great children as they played games, ate, or appeared at birthday parties. I cleaned and maintained equipments to restaurant standards.

This was my first pizza job, and I learned to be a prep cook. I also prepared dough, cooked the pizza and delivered to the customers. I learned how to thoroughly clean the equipment and work areas to restaurant standards.
Wassilla Public Works 1992-1993 Supervisor – Jane Odoms
I was part of a special program for youth, which taught a variety of skills. This position consisted of maintaining city parks and public areas. I mowed lawns, cared for plants and schrubs, planted flowers and maintained their growth. I also placed signage, and repaired or replaced them as necessary.
Burger King 1991-1992 Supervisor – Marty Brown
This position consisted of being in charge of the drive-thru window. I took and filled orders for customers, was the cashier, cooked, and prepared the vegetables as necessary. I maintained equipment and work area to restaurant standards.
Wee Bees 1988- 1989 Supervisor – Jim Bookie
I was trained to work in a fast food environment at this job, which was a stand-alone hamburger hut. I prepped all the ingredients for the burgers and salads, french fries and onion rings, and other grill items. I worked alone after school and was cook, cashier, and server. I maintained the area for hygiene and safety, and maintained the equipment as needed. I also closed the restaurant daily which involved getting the days sales to the bank and depositing them.
